Growing up in the history rich Hudson Valley region of New York State, I became totally immersed in the beauty of the mountains and waterways.Always drawing and designing projects with whatever medium that was available to me. I knew that I would always be involved with the arts in some shape or form.While enrolled in high school and college, I vigorously honed my skills in painting and drawing. But, like most artists, the twists and turns of life pushed me in other directions.

Performing as a professional guitarist, traveling through Europe, business ventures in horticulture which included greenhouse growing and selling of exotic bromeliads and orchids. I was designing and producing hydroponic growing systems in order to keep the creative juices flowing. After a near death experience in 2006, I learned that life is too short and to enjoy whatever life has to offer. I figured a change of scenery could enhance that idea. In 2008, I moved to Northern Arizona , where the unbelievable desert and mountain landscapes awoke my artistic passion to return to painting and drawing. I now had come full circle back to the visual arts I had left behind. I felt that I was now able to create works of art, practice my craft with fellow artist and join organizations and associations to further educate myself as an artist.

My inspiration has come from many sources. Trips to the numerous galleries and museums of N.Y.C. and an unforgettable visit to the Louvre in Paris. The magnificent landscapes of the Hudson River Valley and the jungle-like habitat and white sand beaches of Florida. The vivid colors of Mexico and of course, the high desert and mountains of Arizona. My greatest passion, working with pastels, came from being inspired by great artists such as Edgar Degas, Doug Dawson,Larry Blovits, Daniel Greene and Albert Handel.

My consignments and other assorted pieces hang in private collections in New York, Florida, and Arizona.
